Tracy A. Miner

Tracy A. Miner is a partner at Miner Siddall LLP. She was formerly a partner at Demeo LLP, and a member of Mintz Levin Cohn Ferris Glovsky and Popeo, P.C., where she was chair of that firm’s white collar criminal defense group. She has risen to prominence as one of Boston’s top criminal defense attorneys. Ms. Miner specializes in representing individuals and companies in state and federal criminal investigations both pre- and post-indictment.

She has successfully represented high profile individuals and major corporations in a broad range of matters, including health care fraud, securities fraud, bribery, extortion, RICO offenses, and environmental and defense contracting cases. She has appeared on behalf of clients before the U.S. Attorney, Department of the Attorney General, Bureau of Prisons, Department of Justice, and other state and federal regulatory bureaus. She has obtained acquittals or a defense verdict in ten of her last thirteen trials, including in complex cases tried in federal district court. She has also helped many individuals and companies avoid charges through her pre-indictment and pre-litigation advocacy.

Ms. Miner takes an active role in her professional community. She is a member of the American College of Trial Lawyers. She is the co-chair of the White Collar Committee of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. She is a member, and past president, of the Massachusetts Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. She is also a member of the Federal Court Criminal Justice Act Panel, the American Law Institute Sentencing Project Board of Advisors and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit Advisory Committee.

The late Sen. Edward M. Kennedy appointed Ms. Miner to the Selection Committee for the District of Massachusetts, where she made recommendations on the selection of the U.S. Attorney, the U.S. Marshal and the U.S. District Court Judge.

Throughout her career, Ms. Miner has received many recognitions and awards for her expertise in criminal defense. She is a Litigation Counsel of America Fellow. Less than one half of one percent of attorneys are selected for this prestigious honor. Best Lawyers in America, a highly-regarded peer review guide, has recognized Ms. Miner for her expertise in white collar criminal defense for each of the last four years. Chambers USA has also listed Ms. Miner among the top lawyers for white collar crime and government investigations for the last five years. In 2010, she was featured in The National Law Journal’s “Winning: Profiles of Successful Litigators.” She is rated AV Preeminent – the highest level of peer review – by Martindale-Hubbell.

Ms. Miner received her J.D. summa cum laude from Boston College. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Notre Dame. She is admitted to practice in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts, and the First Circuit and the District of Columbia Circuit of the U.S. Court of Appeals.
